The Crisis

A generation
in crisis

Gen Z faces record-high rates of chronic illness while entering a healthcare system built to treat symptoms — not prevent disease. Big Pharma profits from sickness. TVCP exists to break that cycle.

60%+
of Gen Z has at least one chronic health condition — the highest rate of any generation
💊
Pharma-Driven Education
Healthcare students receive minimal training in nutrition, functional medicine, or root-cause prevention. Pharmacology dominates the curriculum while whole-person healing is an afterthought.
📈
Reactive, Not Preventive
The national health model waits for illness rather than investing in food, movement, and lifestyle interventions that prevent chronic disease before it starts.
⚖️
Medical Freedom Eroding
Patients and students increasingly lack autonomy — from vaccine mandates to restricted access to natural and integrative therapies that could genuinely help them.
🎓
Financial Barriers
Students passionate about natural medicine face real financial hurdles when pursuing integrative education alongside conventional coursework.
Our Purpose

What We Stand For

TVCP is a 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit transforming how the next generation of healthcare professionals thinks about health, healing, and patient care — one chapter, one grant, one healer at a time.

🌿
Food Is Medicine
Real, whole food is the most powerful medicine available — and this should be core to every healthcare education, not a footnote.
⚖️
Medical Freedom
Defending every patient's right to make autonomous healthcare decisions and every student's right to learn about natural healing modalities.
🙏
God-Given Medicine
Creation already provides everything needed for health — herbs, whole foods, sunlight, movement, and rest. We champion these solutions.
🔬
Gold Standard Science
Demanding rigorous, unbiased research not influenced by pharmaceutical funding — evidence-based natural medicine backed by real science.
🛡️
Prevention First
Shifting the national model from reactive sick-care to proactive prevention — keeping people well rather than profiting from their illness.
🌱
Gen Z Leadership
Investing in the next generation to lead the health revolution — trained, funded, networked, and empowered as transformative healers.

Student Voices

Hear from Student Leaders

Real students. Real change. These are the future healers building TVCP's movement on their campuses right now.

This semester of TVCP at Davidson College, I am excited to watch more of my friends transform the way they think about America's medical system. I am looking forward to witnessing them become fascinated with real medicine and real healing methods.
MM
Melody M.
Davidson College · Chapter Vice President
I joined The Vital Choice Project because it's the space I've been looking for as a pre-health student. I wanted to be part of a community that approaches healthcare through a holistic, root-cause lens while keeping God at the center of how we care for others.
RD
Rachel Davis
Oklahoma State University · Chapter Leader
After listening to the panelists discuss their struggles within the healthcare system, it inspired me to take action and start a TVCP chapter at UW-Oshkosh in Wisconsin. I didn't know what to expect — but it changed everything.
JN
Jack N.
UW Oshkosh · Chapter President
I love how TVCP is promoting our learning of true healing from illness, equipping pre-health students like me to heal patients in the future. I'm excited to see how many students have their eyes opened to natural, often more effective, health remedies.

Charlie B.
Davidson College · Chapter Leader
I joined TVCP because I'm deeply passionate about functional health and preventative medicine. I believe our bodies were designed to thrive when we nourish them with the resources God placed on this earth — whole foods, sunlight, movement.
CB
Courtney Beck

I joined TVCP because I'm passionate about improving nutrition education and creating real change in our food system. This mission is also personal because of my experience with UC, which showed me how important food quality and awareness are for long-term health.
