This semester of TVCP at Davidson College, I am excited to watch more of my friends transform the way they think about America's medical system. I am looking forward to witnessing them become fascinated with real medicine and real healing methods that are out there and learn from the experts that we get to bring to our school.

The MAHA panel with Garrett, Ashton, Caitlin, and Emory was absolutely fascinating...
The MAHA panel with Garrett, Ashton, Caitlin, and Emory was absolutely fascinating. Coming into the panel I didn't know what to expect; I thought it was going to be mostly lecture like at college, but it was not. Instead, panelists Garrett and Ashton actually gave us students the opportunity to GET INVOLVED with their nonprofit, The Vital Choice Project. After listening to Garrett and Caitlin discuss their struggles within the healthcare system, it inspired me to take action and start a TVCP chapter at UW-Oshkosh in Wisconsin.

I joined The Vital Choice Project because it's the space I've been looking for...
I joined The Vital Choice Project because it's the space I've been looking for as a pre-health student. I wanted to be part of a community that approaches healthcare through a holistic, root-cause lens while keeping God at the center of how we care for others. I believe it's time for our generation to take a stand, to ask questions, seek truth, and pursue greater transparency in healthcare. I'm passionate about changing the way we view health and how future healthcare professionals are educated. I want to bring conversations to my peers about prevention, nutrition, functional medicine, natural healing, and explore what true, whole-person care really looks like. I'm excited to be part of a strong community of students who share this passion to become the next generation of healers and help our nation become healthy again!

I joined the Vital Choice Project because I'm deeply passionate about functional health...
I joined the Vital Choice Project because I'm deeply passionate about functional health and preventative medicine. I believe our bodies were designed to thrive when we nourish them with the resources God placed on this earth—whole foods, sunlight, movement, etc. As a college student and a young person in today's world, I've personally seen the shortcomings of our healthcare system and experienced how misinformation can negatively impact health, including my own. That's what fuels my desire to be part of real change. I'm passionate about helping transform healthcare from the inside out—advocating for stronger nutrition education in medical training and supporting future physicians through scholarships and mentorship—so that our generation, our peers, and our future families can experience a more honest, root-cause, and life-giving approach to health.

I joined TVCP because I'm passionate about improving nutrition education...
I joined TVCP because I'm passionate about improving nutrition education and helping create real change in our food system. As a student, I've seen how confusing and inconsistent nutrition information can be, and I believe giving people better access to nutrition knowledge can make a big difference. This mission is also personal to me because of my experience with UC, which showed me how important food quality and awareness are for long-term health. I really enjoy being part of an organization that's working toward practical, meaningful change on campus and beyond.
